vibedollar

Welcome to vibedollar ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the vibedollar service, including our website at vibedollar.net, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint at mcp.vibedollar.net, and any related documentation or tools (collectively, the "Service").

1. About the Service

vibedollar is a demand-discovery data service for independent developers and founders. The Service finds public discussion posts and comments where people are actively looking for a solution like yours — with relevance annotations explaining why each result matches your query — and returns them to you as potential-customer leads, along with a demand-validation summary. The Service is delivered as a remote data API over the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

2. Accounts & API Keys

  • You must register with a valid email address to obtain an API key. Email verification is required before an account becomes active.
  • API keys are personal and confidential. You are responsible for all activity conducted with your key. Do not share or expose your key.
  • You may create only one account per email address.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are used for abusive, fraudulent, or automated abuse of the Service.

3. Pricing, Quotas & Billing

  • The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (Starter and Pro). Current pricing is published on our site and in the Service documentation and may be updated from time to time.
  • Billing unit: a lead is billed when you first claim it. Scoring, re-reading and exporting a claimed lead are free. Each monthly allowance (Free, Starter, Pro) is included in your subscription; leads claimed beyond the allowance are charged at the published per-thousand rate, deducted from the wallet that matches your account's settlement currency. The claim count is metered server-side.
  • Wallets & settlement currency. Wallet credit is held in two separate balances: a USD wallet (funded by card payments processed through our global processor) and a CNY wallet (funded by WeChat Pay). Each is credited 1:1 in its own currency — no exchange-rate conversion is applied. You choose which wallet overage is charged from (your settlement currency) in your account settings or via the Service API; if you have not chosen, we default to the wallet that holds credit, then to your subscription channel.
  • Daily delivery caps: each tier has a daily claim cap (Free/Starter 1,000, Pro 3,000 claims per day). Claims beyond the cap are not charged again — they are carried over and delivered on the following day. Delivery therefore pauses rather than being lost.
  • Fair use: to keep the shared collection pipeline healthy, each account has a daily ingestion ceiling (the amount of content we pull and match on your behalf). It is not a billed quantity; content beyond it is simply pulled on the next day. It is set well above normal use and does not affect ordinary subscriptions.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until then.
  • If the wallet for your settlement currency is insufficient for leads beyond your allowance, delivery pauses and the leads remain reserved; you may top up that wallet, switch your settlement currency, or wait for the next allowance period.
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which we may add where required.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to encourage others to:

  • Attempt to bypass claim allowances, authentication, rate limits, or other usage controls;
  • Create multiple accounts to evade limits or obtain additional free credits;
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or replicate the Service's data pipelines at scale;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights, including the terms of any public platform whose data appears in Service output;
  • Resell, redistribute, or republish raw Service output in a way that competes with the Service, without our written consent.

5. Data & Third-Party Content

The Service returns data compiled from publicly available sources, including public discussion forums (such as Reddit). This data is provided "as is" for informational purposes. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it. Some data may be subject to the terms and conditions of the platforms on which it originated; you are responsible for complying with those terms when using the data.

Historical records & contacting authors. The data the Service returns reflects public posts and comments as they were captured at collection time. A post or comment may later be removed or deleted by the platform or its author; the historical record of it remains part of the Service's data and is still treated as a valid demand signal. Where the Service surfaces contact information, it comes from publicly listed sources (such as a company's official website or a public profile) or from contacting the author directly through the platform's own messaging features (for example, a private message on the forum where the post appeared). You are responsible for using any contact or messaging channel in compliance with the relevant platform's terms and applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, documentation, and the compiled database structure, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where reasonably practicable, by notice to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and its users.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong, China.
